First off, I apologize for the ambiguous request, but I really can't remember much about the thread. I just read it the other day. It was about an online resource that has a wealth of info about maintaining heavy equipment, using it, and techniques, etc. Basically an online textbook (not PDF, though). I don't think the thread is that old, but I can't find it anywhere. I had the link saved, but my computer crashed. When it did, it wiped out the bookmarks for Firefox and so I had to import an older backup. 
I tried doing a search for the thread, but I didn't have any luck. I'm hoping someone here may remember it. The thread itself wasn't to old.
