Well, we had the mower back for almost 2 mowings and I looked to check everything out and both the rod lift links are bent in towards the tires. One of them are rubbing on the tires. I just don't get what is wrong with the deck. We mowed for only 3 hours since we got it back and there is nothing to run into. The mowing has been all yard.
Does anyone have any opinions what may be causing this problem?
Thanks for any help that I could let the dealer know.

I have a 62D deck on my 2320, can you post some pictures to show us a little better? What model tractor is this on? Does it have independent lift?

Yes, I did post of problems before with the deck. Here is one picture of when the pins came out ( but that was fixed) and the rod lift link is just hanging. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...ting/150111-some-things-check-62d-before.html
It does not have the independent lift. Thanks for looking at this post. The dealer is going to pick it up tomorrow, to fix it again. I guess I can't say they have not tried to get this problem straightened out.

Does your mower deck "float" over the ground. 47chevy had lots of problems and his sounded like the hydraulic lift lines were connected to the wrong ports and held the deck solid and was breaking the pins. Is this on a 2305??

J D had a lot of problems with a 62 '' mower.

Not all owners of JD 62" mowers have had problems and you likely will not hear from those folks. I owned a JD X485 (~25 hp) with the 62" mmm and it was trouble free during the 5 yrs I owned it prior to replacing it with a 3720 cab tractor. I used the 62" mmm hard mowing approx 6 acres of lawn at my house and 1.5 acres down at the old homestead. Never had to replace a belt, bearing, pulley, blade, etc.

We have a 2720. Yes, the deck does float a little. Each time the dealer sets it up that way - they said the deck has to float and the wheels should be about 1/2 inch off the ground. - Does that sound like it may be the problem?

No, the deck is a floating deck and the wheels mainly serve as guides to keep the deck from scalping over uneven terrain. If the wheels were set right on the ground than you would get constant marks in the lawn.

J D had a lot of problems with a 62 '' mower.

Other than maybe 2 people I have read about on here, the deck has been very reliable.

I have found out that our deck needed to float. It moves up and down about 3-5 inches now in some places. I am thinking the deck in binding up somehow and not letting it to move enough. This causes the arm to bend or shearing the pin, these are the weakest part on the system.

Since we changed to the "float" curcuit on the hydraulic lines we have not had any problems.
