Can my JD46A loader fit a JD4520?

I had a really nice JD4020 with a JD46A loader (c1964) that got hit by a drunk driver. The tractor is apparently totaled, but the loader is untouched, and in really nice condition. I'm assessing my possibilities on the local market, and I found a JD4520 (1970) for sale about 17 miles away, but it has no loader. Visually, the 4520 seems to be pretty dang close to a 4020, so I figured it would be worth asking. If the loader can be reused, this might be a great plan to put the 46A on the 4520, but OTOH, if it can't I might be better off having the insurance company keep it all (loader included) and buy something else entirely (a different make/model tractor/loader)

I think the two tractor front ends are so close it would be worth the time to measure them and see if it will fit. If your 4020 is damaged too much I would use one that hasn't been in a wreck to measure. Tractor data shows both using the 158 loader and the engines are the same size. The 4520 wheelbase is longer but I suspect the extra length is added behind the engine.

I think it will fit or can be made to fit easily, definately worth checking out.
