I've got a few acres badly in need of overseeding. The local county extension office has a no-till seeder that they rent for $10 an acre...a pretty good deal. So I went to look at it and it's bigger than my 2615. Ok, so it's depth adjustable and has wheels, so maybe that shouldn't intimidate me, but it requires hydraulics and I don't see any extra hydraulic ports on my 2615...can I just unplug the FEL hydraulics? The lines are pretty long so in theory might reach the block.

So many things I don't know, this is just one more.

How wide is the seeder? Do you know how much it weighs? Are the wheels for depth guaging or transport?
Also, ask the folks at the extension office. If they rent the thing out they should have an idea what it takes to pull it.
About the hydraulics, where does the FEL plug in on your tractor? If it just uses the remotes on the back you should be ok, but if you have a mid mount hyd block, you will probably at least have to change the hose ends. Also, if you don't remove the FEL you will have to chain it up at least. If you plan on doing much w/ hyd implements and don't already have them, adding a set of remotes on the back of the tractor will save a lot of headache in the long run.
On another note, what are you overseeding w/? Pretty much everything I need to plant anymore I get done w/ a spreader truck when they spread my fertilizer.
