Hello everyone. I recently got hold of a l2800 kubota and would like to add 3rd function capability for a grapple. I understand the basics of hydraulics but need someone more knowledgeable to sort this out since I have read some info online and still am not sure. I have seen J_J recommend the DG4V-3-8C-VM-U-G7-61 on surplus center but they are sold out currently. Alternatively (hopefully) I know where a DG4V-3-8C-VM-KUP6-D7-G7-61-EN544 pilot valve is that I can use if it will work for 3rd function. Would save some money but is there too much difference between these 2 valves? All i can tell is the difference in wiring and a transorb surge suppressor on the pilot valve. I would appreciate any wisdom or warnings you would like to share.

They should be very similar similar valves. One may have have different electrical connectors than the other. Not sure what the EN544 is though. This could make them have some "special" feature.

Look VERY closely at the tank port pressure rating on these valves IF you have more functions down stream. Some of Vickers valves are only 1500 PSI and others are 3,000 PSI.

Thanks for the response. I looked at the eaton pdf to check and the valve has just a "3", not "3R" or "3S" so the T port should be good to 3045 psi. Thanks again.
