I use vinegar with a few drops of detergent in it.
What do you use that on and how does it work for you?

Without pesticides and genetically improved crops (both GMO and breeding) billions of people would be starving and predictions in the 1972 best selling book, "The Population Bomb" would have come true. It was a real scare book that millions, including myself believed, but didn't happen because of the green revolution which dramatically improved yields. The funny thing about the book was that the green revolution was already under way when the book was published.
I say, 3 cheers for herbicides and other modern farming practices!
And for the record, almost a billion people ARE starving right now, despite your three cheers.
Widespread and persistent hunger is a fundamental contradiction in today's world. The food is there: world agriculture produces 17 percent more calories per person today than it did 30 years ago, despite a 70 percent population increase. Work in FAO shows that world agriculture can produce enough to feed humanity in the future without putting excessive pressure on prices or the environment. The existence of 780 million chronically hungry people in the developing world today shows that there is something fundamentally wrong in the distribution of food and the resources with which to access it.
Diesel exhaust fluid, had some spill on the grass and it did a fine job of killing it
I use vinegar specifically for that reason. That works but only for short while.
