I was reading this review
2014 John Deere X758 4WD Signature Tractor Review
And it says
"And unlike the auto-connect feature on 1-series tractors, the auto-connect does not have to be removed to swap over to a front blower or rotary broom."

I am getting ready to order and this would eliminate my reason for not ordering auto-connect.

that is true, you can pin up the mower lift linkage, and there
is a hanging bracket for the pto shaft allowing the front pto
kit to be installed on the mid pto.
the front draft assy is removed with the deck,
and then the front hitch installs on the tractor.
all pretty simple to do.

Thanks Dutch for the quick reply. I went without it for now. My dealer says I can add at the same cost if I want.
