Hello Guys,

Can anyone identify this plant?? One of mine friend who lives in dallas texas has planet this plant but I could not identify..So guys help me in it!!

Is it a vine? Are those thorns, or just hairs on the fruit? But no, I have never seen it before.

It does look like bullnettle........tho I've tried never to hang around it too long to admire. It's some nasty stuff.

We used to have those things growing everywhere in West Dallas when I was a kid.
I haven't seen one in a long time, and if they get you it feels like a mess of fire ants.

If it is bullnettle, one will have to carefully, grub it up to get the tap root too. And yes, you want to get rid of it! Wear gloves an protesctive clothing, because if you get into it, you will know it, and not just for a minute or two.

My dad used to grub down a foot, with the grubbing hoe, and then pour a pound of salt over the remains of the tap root, before refilling the hole. Those things go DEEP. I think you can get rid of them for a season with chemicals, but they are very hardy and tend to come back, due to those deep tap roots.

Yes. It looks like Cynanchum laeve (Honeyvine, milkweed, etal).
