The 7 pin connector does look like the one pictured above, though I ordered a Tectran brand. I purchased it through ebay. I did speak with Tectran before ordering it, their tech made certain I ordered the correct one. Turns out there are two types of plugs that look similar, mine has round pins, the other has flat pins. The sprayer system was purchased through Lowes.
Spoke w/my electrician friend last night, he said it should be no problem wiring it and he has a off/on switch that could work. As to the wire, I showed him what I had on hand, the wire used on the current system appears to have two wires, he mentioned it was a glorified extension cord. After I get this set-up assembled(appears the ordered has been delayed, just tracked the order) we'll work on getting it wired.

Is that the same as a semi trailer plug?
Just FYI:....Semi trailer plug is usually (standard?) 7 round pin connectors..... A similar version RV (Rec Vehicle) 7 pin connectors usually found on PU's and light duty trucks usually (standard?) have flat blade connectors.....

I hope the project is progressing well.

I thought I'd note, you may already know.

Generally the amp draw dictates the wire size, whether it is 12V, 24V, 120V, or 240V.

Basically...
< 15A, 14 AWG
20A, 12 AWG
30A, 10 AWG
etc.

So if your pump has peak power at 7.5A, then you'll be fine with 12 AWG or 14 AWG wire. And, if you just need something quick and dirty, just about anything laying around will work. Somebody above suggested cutting up an old extension cord (hopefully one with bad ends).

7 pin connector arrived today, fits perfectly into the back of the tractor. Sprayer system has been "delayed" coming to Lowes. So all is on hold until that arrives. Can't wait to get this new system up and running, the last spray job I did a few weeks ago was less-than-good. Already needs touchups. Checked and cleaned the spray head filters yesterday and they had gunk in them, so that could be a reason.
