Camp property found, now updates.

No shock, we are heading back to camp on Saturday morning with the 6x6. I'll be in Ironwood MI on Friday and heading directly to Covington from there after attending a old snowcat jamboree held there.. Hope to drag all trails at camp with the 6x6 and move snow around.

Maybe 1.5 miles, so not much. Seen here smoothing out what we just brushed out.

That sled setup does look really handy for your purposes.

That otter sleded turn out to be way more helpful that we imaged it would be. While doing trail work, we load it will snow and throw trail tools on the top. Knocks the snow between the pods down.

Dearest says she's taking Monday off so we'll head back to camp after she's off on Friday and stay three days. I'm messing with 4x4 setup which will not be done, in fact barley started but we'll haul it back down since it appears we'll not be needing a plow down there. I'm trying to build a mini pintle hitch for it. Add weight pegs and shovel mount to it.

I should add, we have not seen moose tracks out there in some time. Moved elsewhere I'd guess.

Packing to head south later today with 4x4 this time. As stated earlier, this cabin is built on a rock outcrop and when I'm pushing snow away, sometime I"ll put it over the edge. Hard to see in pics, but that's what you see here.

Guys, pulled in at dusk and loaded the sled. Rode in and we could see the stars come out. Was at freezing when we got a fire going and still getting camp warmed up now. Had smoked fish, salad and cheese and crackers for dinner. Plus mi white wine. Could it get any better than this?

Ya but the trail an house sure needs lost of work.

Just got back in at near freezing temperatures and was grooming to knock the trails to the east of camp, which are the last be be brushed and groomed, to smooth them out. The road in is pretty good and not worth doing more at this time. Gosh its warm and sunny today.

This afternoon we skied to the south and across the beaver swamp for the 1st time this winter. On the other side which is all property we own, we skied a few of the old logging paths and found it all quite pretty there with its cliffs and rocky outcrops. It was tough going with all the snow we got here but did get lots of pictures to post when home. Must get a crossing built this summer.....

I trained my Golden retriever, left, right, gee, haw down here to pull me on roller blades years ago. He loved it.
