Several foreign and domestic companies made mini crawlers over the years. Perrigrin,Scmiedag,terrar Trac, Vaughn, Windolf and more made them for compact worksites and mountain road pioneering. Aveling Barford may still produce asphault roller now not sure though.

Having once owned a really small dozer, I can answer that. They are good for....not much! A reasonable sized modern CUT will do the same work and also be good at doing a lot of other things.

Yeah, that's about the way I feel about Corvettes. OK to look at, but, not much else. They sure do sell a lot of them though.

Years ago (late 70's) I was stationed at Bogard USFS Fire/Ranger Station in NE California. They had the smallest Cat Dozer I have ever heard of. I believe it was a D 1/2? or D 0.5. I do not believe it was ridden and was of such a diminitive size that they used it on hiking and fire protection trails.

Can anyone give me any further information about this Dozer?
