Anyone crazy enough to build one? How much did it cost? I know Metkits has the entire kit to build a 1007 loader for $1600+. There is a Bushhog 2240 QT available locally for $1150. Well used and weathered. Needs a new bucket and I would have to adapt brackets to fit my Massey 1125. The 2240QT is not quick detach and also uses two lever controls (cannot float the loader for smoothing).

$1600 for the parts to build the Cadplans 1007 + $140 for plans is a lot for something I must build myself.

Just curious if anyone has been there, done that.

Thanks
Mike

I built a CadPlans 907, total cost was about $1,000. However, It is a smaller loader. The plans were excellent, the loader came out great! I was also a very rewarding experience! I would do it again in a heartbeat, in fact I am considering building a backhoe.

Matt , great job on the loader, looks very much like one that came from the factory, except for the color.... Yuk... I'm hoping that's just the primer base paint and the finishing color will look more "traditional". /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

That Cadplans 907 loader looks very good. I have been seriously considering building one for my Satoh Beaver tractor. I'd be interested to know the breakdown of the price.... Is that basically the cost of parts, and did you do the cutting/welding/assembly yourself?

Matt, you did a great job with your 907 loader. I would also like to get a breakdown of what you bought and how many hours you had invested in construction.

Thanks

The loader looks great! My buddy and I are beginning to build a CADPLANS Digger model 821. I hope it turns out as well.
