Has anyone in the group built one of the CADPlans loaders, specifically the Mod. 1207.
Since I don't have *quite* enough pain in my life, I'm considering building one of these for myself. I figure if it doesn't work out, I'll have plenty of scrap metal to add to the pile and I can always buy an third party of manufacturer model.

Thanks!

I'm going to order them tonight for the 907 (I think that was the number) for my new 224. Will let you know how they are when I get them.

Hi RWB,
I just ordered a 1007 loader plan kit on Saturday from CADplans for my new JM224. I am going to buy the hydraulic kit from Metkit as there have been some threads on this site that said that fitting other cylinders can be difficult sometimes, just search thru the archives and you will find valuable info regarding loaders, backhoes, etc . The metal components I either have or will buy locally. Is your 224 a Jinma? If it is there are also other great sites as well as this one that have valuable info. If you need the site addresses just e-mail me............. Regards, Harry G

I never built a front loader but I did built a Caddigger backhoe a few years ago.
I've used it for 3 or 4 years now and it actually works quite well. Has suprisingly good digging power.
I recently got a backhoe for my tractor so it doesn't get used much any more.

I built the 1207 for my Yanmar FX24D. I agree with the MetKit hydraulics. It might have been my post that he was referencing. I am considering moving the bucket closer to the tractor by shortening the arms. If you are considering digging with the loader build a tooth bar. Weight box and power steering make it much easier to use. Loader is plenty strong. Reinforce the main bearing carriers (where the arms attach to the tractor mounts) and the arms around them to save some potential breakage.

Hi Harry,
yes it is a 224 Jinma. I think now that I have looked it over again I will also go to the 1007 loader. Can't wait for it to get here.

I used Metkit for my hydraulic system.
They were nice to work with, parts came quickly, all the fittings needed were there and all hoses were made the correct lentghs to get up and running.

It's nice to know that the attachments work well. Anyone able to post pictures?

Go to the machine builders forum. This is a relatively new site but there is good build info in the discussion forums. Pictures too!

Hi,

I built a cadloader for my Yanmar (model 907 I think). I love it, building it was a blast and it is surprisingly useful, on such a small machine.

The plans were excellent! I got the hydraulics from MetKit, and obtained steel locally.

A photo is attached.

Matt
