Anyone ever try out a "build - it - yourself" Cad Loader? Check out the website at cadplans.com. Interesting ideas, and you can buy a pre-cut kit. You'll need to have access to a welder to assemble the kit, and have some metal working tools to go straight from the plan...

I especially like the little 3 pt hitch backhoes, and even the rear 3 pt hitch loader... Lot's of price savings - and they even have plans and kits to build your own articulated tractor for around 6K!

By the way - the Honda 4WD performed like a champ in the recent heavy wet snow here in CT. I rolled right down all 600'+ of gravel driveway with no complaints from the tractor. I couldn't push it hard enough. I wish I could get a bigger plow for it. The 46" blade is nice, but I'd like to see this thing with a 54-60" blade. Had to adjust the skid shoes a bit, but otherwise no problems.

I guess your snow banks are dropping like flies w/this rain and warm temps.

After plowing season just take your plow to a welding shop and have them add each side, way lot cheaper than a new or second hand plow...not unless you have sawzail & welder.

Thanks for the idea - Great minds think alike!

My father made the same reccomendation to me - his old Roper garden tractor has a weight rack thanks to our local welding shop. Good welder, reasonable prices.
