cabin air filter on 99 f350

getting ready to do a service on my 99 f350 ( door date tag of 12/98 )

I see i have any of 3 possible filter combinations for the air filter with 12/98 as the to/from dates.

dealer did my 1st service when i got her, and my local mechanic did my last service when i had a water pump replaced. I do my own servicing on my 6.0psd and will now start on the 350 and 450 when she is due.

aside from the air filter.. which i see i will need to pull and match up..

oil filter is easy.. it's a 1734.. and down by the pan.. etc.. got the copper 14mm washer for the drain plug...

now... cabin air filter? does this model have one? i see 4 listed on the napa site after plugging in all my trucks data, including vin digits it asked for.

if it has them.. is it a passanger inside area by your feet like in some gm trucks, or the pita under the plastic cover by the windshield wiper deal?

6484 airfilter.. that was easy..

I have a '99.5 since new and not aware of it having a cabin air filter in it.

There were multiple engine air filters and a least one TSB was issued to correct a problem. I know first hand a my airbox was changed out and the air filter went from approximately 1" thick to about 2.5" thick.

ist went out and looked some more.

I can't find hide nor hair of a cabin fitler.. looke dunder the ww wipers.. and over on pasanger side is just the cowling etc.

my 450 is a 99.5 and has a different air box than this early 99. this one has the filter that is about 1.5" plus a foam prefilter pad that is another 1" thick on it.

my 04 250 has a different box from new and now uses a 9490 element in it.

the 450 has yet another one..

gotta love it.

another funny thing.. from early 99 to late 99, the early doesn't have a cruise lamp on the dash 9 well.. it's there it just doesn't lite up.. whereas the late one does. i read someewhere you can change out a ecu and get the lamp.. but seems spendy for a lil lamp to tell me i'm not touching the throttle..

I am pretty sure it does not have a cabin filter.

No, you don't have a cabin air filter. Us Ford guys get our air raw, all natural. LOL

Just a suggestion, but have you considered a K&N air filter? They cost about twice as much as a paper filter, but last a lifetime. Just wash, dry, and re-oil.
I have them in all my trucks, as well as my motorcycle.
