Cab owners - can you read your stereo display?

Just curious if all the Kenwood units are like mine.

During daytime hours, my stereo display is unreadable from the seat. I have to stand up and be 5 inches away to see what it says. Brightness is turned to max.

Is there a contrast setting? If so, crank it up. Or maybe it's just a cheap unit with a poor viewing angle?

No contrast. Just brightness and dimmer. Will try and play with it some more. Maybe I have the dimmer activated but don’t think so.

If I shield it with my hand. Mine is a cheap mechless radio.

I bought the stereo that Messicks offers for Kubota tractors - no idea what brand it is. But it is not readable in daylight.

I can read the one in my LS XR4155HC no problem

Mine is pretty dim too. I tried changing the display color to see if that helped but no real big difference. I'm not sure that looking at it at an angle rather than straight on might play a part in it too......Don

No I cant see anything on the kenwoods display other than it changes colors on its own. Where its located, makes it very hard to see the face of the radio.

Nope. My MF 7495 radio readout cannot be seen.
