Cab Heater Airlocked ?

Hey guys,
I said I would report back. Deon, I think your are not far off in something not installed properly. I am open to feedback here. When I installed the adapter (spacer with the hose connection on the side of the adapter)on top of the motor where the thermostat is. I removed the thermostat housing left the thermostat and placed the adapter on top of the thermostat and the housing on top of the adapter. I believe I should have placed the thermostat on top of the adapter instead of under it. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I don't believe I am getting the full pressure to the heater hose for circulation. The adapter can be seen (if this works) in the attachment (the installation instructions I got from Sims Cabs) when you schroll down to the very last page. Thanks

From the steps on page 13:

1. Drain coolant from engine
2. Remove top of thermostat housing
3. Remove thermostat
4. Install street elbow into collar
5. Install collar with gaskets and shut off valve
6. Re-install thermostat and housing using:

It would appear that you need to put the new adapter on, then install the thermostat on top of it. This will give you more coolant flow and will let you get heat even when the thermostat is closed

Your right Aaron. Just a matter of following/carefully reading the instructions step by step ! Got heat and lots of it. Thank you everyone for all the help. Certainly a learning process for the do it yourselfer.
