Hi Folks. I'm looking for a little help here. I have a 2005 Kubota L5030 HSTC. The cab is leaking water from under the heater fan area in the front right of the cab roof. I tried to such out the drain line with a vacuum and that didn't work. So I tried compressed air and that didn't work either.

Is there anything else I should try?

How hard is it to take the ceiling apart to fix it myself?

How many hours should it take the dealer to do this for me?

Thanks in advance.

Take the outer cover off the roof, you will then be able to get to everything...
You can place a work platform across the loader arms to give you something to stand on.... not a big problem, Normally a shop vac will clean them out. KennyV

Have you checked the pressure readings on the compressor? A low refrigerant charge will cause the evaporator to freeze over and as the ice melts caused the problem you described.

No I haven't checked that. I will have to get someone to do that for me.

Do you know what refrigerant it uses?

How do you remove the roof?

How do you remove the roof?

From 4shorts:

"Inside the cab just start at the front of the head liner using a 10mm 1/4 drive socket and ratchet.

As your taking them out you'll notice they are aprox 3" long. Work your way around removing all those bolts and when you get to the door openings you will start to remove shorter bolts. They will be around 1.5". If you remove those just put them back in. They are only there to hold up the inner cab liner and has noting to do with holding the top on. There should only be four of the 1.5" bolts and they will be at both door openings.(two each side)

After you have all the 3" bolts out then the top will pull off. There may be a little resistance due to the weather strip on the roof. I've done it myself but two guys on a ladder each will make it really easy."

Thanks. Sounds easy enough. I can probably do that.

I will post how I make out.
