Oil & Fuel C153 crankcase capacity

Just bought a IH 2444 that needs some work. I sent away for the IH-201manual but haven't received it yet. I'd like to change the oil. Anyone know how many quarts it will take. What grade of oil?

Should be right at 5 qts. I use 15-40W in all my diesels and gassers (I've got 3 or 4 Farmalls so I'm familiar with the C-153. PS, that unit should have a dipstick;, when you change the oil/filter put 5 qts in and check it after you run it for a few minutes. BobG in VA
