BX2660 - Throttle stopped working

I went out and started the tractor this last week and when I tried to throttle up, the throttle handle turned, but it did not actually do anything.

I'm thinking that there is a problem with the throttle cable. Thoughts? Is this something easy to change? I'm not incredibly 'handy' with engines, but I can change oil, tired, etc.

IIRC, the throttle cable is adjustable and/or came loose. Seems like I had to get behind the dash to get at the adjustments. But that was 4 years ago when I had a BX2660.

But I'd get a confirmation of my IIRC before taking anything apart.

I took the cowling off the tractor and gave a little tug on the throttle cable, and it pulled out a couple of inches, so I'm pretty sure it broke.

I'm going to stop by the Kubota dealership on the way home after work tonight and ask them a few questions and probably pick up a new throttle cable/assembly.

I looked in the Workshop manual for the BX2660 (still have it) and found no mention of such an adjustment, which surprised me. Nor did I find any note in my records about making such an adjustment. Hum-m-m. Oh well, it is still stuck in my mind somewhere that I had such a problem and fixed it myself.
