I just picked a new front mount blower with quick hitch for my bx2660. The hydraulic cylinder comes empty. Should I fill it as much as I can before install, or should I cycle it through and fill the fluid from the fill tube?

Just hook it up and operate it a few times lock-to-lock. The hydraulics are self-bleeding so nothing special is required. Recheck fluid level after you use it a few times and the air has a chance to purge.
