When I was mowing this past weekend (full throttle), I noticed the tractor start to lower the RPM's by itself, cough a little and then back to full rev's. I dismissed it. A few minutes later, it kept doing it so frequently that I couldnt mow the lawn anymore. Alas, I brought her into my shop. It sounded like fuel starvation, diesels arent that complicated. I started with the filters. One was brand new (underneath the chassis) and the engine one tested. Both are fine. I pulled the line out of the pump and noticed barely dribbles of fuel coming out with the key on.
I took the deck off and starting chasing the fuel line underneath. something caught my eye. One of the zip ties keeping everything neat and tidy down there was so tight it was kinking the goodyear fuel line. I snipped it, replaced it with a new one (not so tight, duh), and then tested the flow again. Night and day. It went from a stream to niagra falls. I reconnected everything and finished mowing with authority.
Just wanted to share my experience in case this was happening with other bx'ers. This obviously was done at the assembly plant. I dont know why it took 125 hr's to present itself. Its fixed now so im happy
good luck.
