Here in Missouri I am getting quoted

FEL: $2,400

I have the green light from the mrs to get it but would feel better if others could tell me it is a fair price. From my email barrage to dealers within 100 miles (at least 9) they have all been within a few hundred of this amount.

I live in SE Missouri. My first job in 1975 was as a State Parole Officer in KC and I lived up one block out of Claycomo, just inside KC city limits, so I had to pay the city income tax

I use Davis Farn Supply in Fruitland, MO.

Sounds reasonable.... But I would ask them to go lower.

Compared to your quote of $14,900 and they usually do not charge you assembly charges.

You could still have a bit of wiggle room on the dealer's margin.
Tell them that you are a serious buyer and you want to start from their cost and work your way up.
Starting at list and working down isn't the game that you want to play.

I'm close to Saint Louis (Lincoln Co). Right now I am talking to two dealers in Troy and one in Bowling Green. I can save 1.25% on taxes by going to Bowling Green (both would be free delivery) but it would have longer travel if I needed to take it back there for any reason.

AMP, mind if I ask where you were able to get the dealer cost?

My final "package" is likely to include:
The 2660,
60" MMM
FEL (I'm assuming that is the LA243)
Land Pride Single Blade
Land Pride Tiller
Forks
and maybe a box blade.

At 0% financing I might as well get anything I would probably pick up in the next few yerars now.

The two reasons I am leaning toward Troy is the closeness and he has all they "toys" on the lot.

Thanks AMP, I hope it did not sound like a dumb question, just my ignorance of how it would be available.

So here I sit tonight with my credit application filled out, the green light from the wife, a yard list growing by the day, oh, and of course the important part, my birthday on Tuesday.

I sent out 3 "last chance" emails tonight to the final 3 and anxious to see what they come back with. One of these 3 stores is going to sell me a tractor this week.

I have not asked them yet but does anyone have an idea on me what the prices are for the Land Pride Box Blade and what choices there are for brush forks? Thanks!

Not dumb at all... It is only available to dealers.


If they want to deal, they will not have a problem with dropping a grand off of your quote. But face time is usually needed when leaning on a dealer.

Don't let them quote you "percent off list"... Tell them to work up from their cost and reconsider.

Don't feel that you have less negotiating power because you are financing. The dealer gets his cut, same as cash.
