Unit came with R4's. Bought a set of turfs for cutting lawn and pushing snow as chains mounted better on them. When I do FEL work, I mount the R4's. That said, they clog up. Thinking of going to R1's to replace the R4's as I have some major dirt moving to do.

Can I use the same rims?
Tire / brand to look at?
Same size as the R4's?

Exploring options. Thanks.

You will need different rims, or so I was told. I have them on my BX2200.

Same wheels, same tire sizes between r1 and r4 on the bx

Do you know to go to the Kubota salesman and buy from the wholegoods book it will be cheaper then from parts department. You get tire and wheel ready to install.

I bought a full set of R4's with rims for my last BX2660. $300 from the dealer. For me, it was a waste. I wound up using one set of tires for the term I owned the tractor.

R4's have a much higher load rating than R1s. Not sure if that will matter on a tractor as small as a BX, but it is something to check before you commit and find out they pop the beads under load or roll off the rim when turning with a load. If that sounds like experience, it is...
