BX25D with BX5455HD snow blower?

Who has one and what is needed for installing on my BX25d?
Dealer in NH is all over the place on what mods are needed to tractor for this installation. From what I can see in the manuals, the parts that go on the tractor (bx2751 subframe) and (bx2753 mid PTO KIT) just hang on the frame with pins…then you drive up to the blower and connect the driveline.
Dealer says it’s a “complex subframe install that takes hours to install”
What am I missing?

Turns out they want to “assemble the quick hitch and subframe” on my dime as a service…they will gladly pick it up and return it for $160 too!
I told them I will pick it up ASSEMBLED and on a pallet.

I would think it’s shipped to them assembled. The mid pto kit is probably just a driveshaft. The subframe has a mounted bearing, the attach lock for the blower, and the lift cylinder. If that came to them in pieces, I could see burning up an hour on that assembly.

The sales guy sent me the manual for the hitch and it has assembly instructions. I’ll bet it comes all apart in a box (or several)

Hi Ron, I have the same subframe and drive kit on my BX24. (2006 model)
The BX2751 is no big deal to put together if you're somewhat mechanically inclined. It comes in a box mostly assembled. As I recall you only need to install the hydraulic cylinder and hoses and assemble 2 wedge clamps that hold the subframe to the tractor frame, As far as mounting to the tractor the bx24 requires the grill guard be removed, I assume the bx25 is the same. Hang the assembly on the front frame install 2 long rods and tighten the wedge clamps,
The BX2753 drive kit comes with the following (see pics) It also is not hard to assemble. Hope this helps

That is one reason why I went with the rear mounted blower for my BX25.

Glad to help, the salesman was probably just looking to sell some shop time lol.
