BX25 Transmission filter relocation and COOLER

I overheated my HST and it cost me $1000 to get it fixed. I need to add a HST oil cooler and your MOD looks great. I have some questions:
1) Why did you switch from the rubber hoses (filter only MOD) to the steel tubing (filter and cooler MOD)? Did they burst?
2) Did you use a new RX7 oil cooler or one from the junkyard?

Here is the adapter on the transmission, the lines, the cooler preparation, the hood wiring inside, the cooler fitting welding and cooler hydrotest etc.

The adapter on the transmission is the Summit racing kit adapter that I spoke of in the last thread.

Given the location of the cooler you installed, I was wondering if you could use the hst return hose at the at the back of the transmission for the supply and return of fluid with double connectors to allow implements to still be attached.
