do a search here on "stop solenoid". There is a circuit that actively stops the fuel when you shut down (it's the click you hear after engine shuts off). It has a solenoid and a timer module, but usually the problem is a damaged wire someplace.

Good luck!

If it happens again, just push on the plunger and hold to the solenoid to shut off. Afterwards, find out which fuse is blown on it or maybe its a bad solenoid.

I was moving brush and a battery cable was pulled off. Same thing.

Check your positive battery cable end at the battery.
Mine looked fine but was cracked.
My BX24 was exhibiting the same problem, it would not shut down.
The cable runs from the batery to the starter. Tip: by the cable at your local auto parts store, it will cost around $20.
Good luck.

Is there 12v going to the solenoid all the time when you turn it off or is it the other way around? Sounds like a bad return spring in the solenoid.

Yes it did shut down when I moved the solenoid arm. Now it does start and turn off.
All fuses are good.

Now there is no power, with full throttle engine dies out?

your solenoid may be shorting out. open the hood and move throttle up. watch the solenoid and see if it moves while doing that. If that is the case, you got a wiring short somewhere. If wiring and soleniod is fine, perhaps your feul filter is plugged ?
