BX24 vs B2320/2620

I have pretty much decided on the BX. There does not appear to be a huge difference in loader or backhoe specs and i am not opposed to renting a bigger unit for the occasional bigger task. To be honest I am going to mostly goof around with this in my yard and woods. I do have several small stumps to dig up and 5' tree sections to move around. I have a ZTR so I will not mow but I will have this on the grass for everything else.

How much more to get the 2320 or 2620 with FEL and BH? Also are the FEL and BH easier to remove install on the BX? I think these bigger units with the BH are going to have the price out of the wife approval zone and I do really want a BH.
Thoughts?

I have a BX24 and if your going the FEL BH route its probably the best deal for the money. I won't swear to it but I think adding those items to the 2350 will run you more or close to the same amount. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can confirm that.

Removing the BH and FEL from the BX24 is easy. It takes a little practice to do it fast and its a lot easier on level ground. The backhoe is easier IMO than the FEL...someone else may have a diffrent expereince...I don't need to take my FEL off so maybe thats why I find it more of a pain. I think Kubota did a pretty good job makeing this unit as user friendly as possible...

I really don't know anything about the 2620 so I can't comment on it.

It's been difficult around here to get accurate pricing on the new B20 series. I think the dealers are trying to gauge how excited we are about the new models. Looks like maybe $13,500 or so for the B2320, and another 6K for the backhoe. The B2620 is a grand more. The BX24 is around in good quantity, and is available for $16,500 or so. It looks like you are looking at $19,500+ for the larger B series. That puts you in B2630 country...... and the slippery slide continues.

For moving those tree sections, you might want to think about a Bro-Tek thumb for the backhoe or an American Solutions grapple for the FEL, or perhaps both.

That slippery slope is so true. For just a few dollars more . .

I went from geting a BX2350 to a B2320, maybe I should have gone with a B2620 . . .
But I don't think I needed the B2320

I went from a BX2350 or BX24 up to a 2320 with FEL and mower, to eventually signing a deal on a 2920 with FEL and mower. That was on a Saturday. Then I called back on Monday and cancelled that order, and ultimately ended up buying a B3030 with FEL and 72" MMM...

Ugh to "scope creep"!

However I do not have a BH, so that makes me sad...

Good choice! Although I only want a 60MMM and BH with the FEL.

I was set on a 2920TLB but pricing is really turning me off since there seems to be large price differences....so I'm really comparing the 3030/7800/2920 again for pricing. Really makes the choice hard when all three have + and -. It seems like the 2920 TLB setup is out of line in comparison to the other two.

Compared to the other 2 tractors, I don't think the B3030 has ANY minuses, other than the added cost.

It is physically larger, and has a good bit more torque than the 2920, as well as having the fully independent PTO, fully adjustable 3pt linkages, and position control. It also has a good bit more capacity at the 3pt and loader.

Compared to the 7800, is has the above listed advantages with respect to PTO and 3PT, without the capacity or engine torque advantages.

The ONLY thing other than price that I may be able to identify as a negative on the 3030 compared to the 2920 is the integrated loader control valve/stick on the 2920.

I think I ended up spending nearly 4k more for the 3030 over the 2920 in the end, but some of that was due to addition of other things like the 72" vs 60" MMM, larger rear blade, and the ATI quick attach and heavy duty bucket with removable cutting edge.

The 2920 was a very nice machine, but in the end I figured it was a one-time purchase (hopefully), and that I should "go larger"...
