You guys are 100% correct in the statements about thinking the activity thru and also working smarter so as not to overload the tractor. If you look at the pictures I posted above you will see the large leverage arm I left on the stump, and also the chain tied directly to the top of it. That chain was connected to a come-a-long and a tree about 30 feet away as that was the closest most rigid dead-head I could find. Funny thing was when I pulled tension on the stump with the come-a-long it really didn't move that much until I got under the back side of the stump with the hoe bucket and gave a good tug.....then it just moved and pivoted around the center of the stump. Believe it or not, the real work came when the stump was broke loose, and flopped over. At that time I had to disconnect the (2) stumps that had grown together, and get as much dirt off them both as possible as I wanted to burn them.
Anyways, I had a lot of fun on this project as it was my first really somewhat bigger job to do with the machine. Needless to say, I was smiling the whole time I was digging....sort of like "pickin-n-grinning".......
