That, my friend, is the $6million dollar question.

Page 47 of the manual says to not use the mmm with the backhoe installed or you could damage the control valve on the hoe. My service man says I won't hurt anything but he is going to call Kubota and check the BX23 manual to see if this is something new.

In the meantime I just locked th mower in top position and turned the 3 point valve so it can't drop. I don't mind taking off the hoe to mow but I sure hope I don't have to pull the mmm to hoe. Ya know.

Your confidence is inspiring. I have to admit, since taking the FEL off a few weeks ago, I've been leary of putting it back on to do just a few hours worth of work. I know eventually it will be no big deal. )</font>

I once met a BX22 owner who had his BX for at least a year. He had never removed the loader, yet he often mowed! The loader is an absolute piece of cake to remove and reinstall. Learn it, get used to it, use the hydraulics to help. I've done it in my Sunday clothes! I'll write up my method again if you can't find it already in this user group. I should put out a DVD showing how it is done. I think I could take it off and put it back on inside of two minutes. It helps though isn't a requirement if you can drop the loader on level ground.
