BX24 - Sell Plow, Replace With Snowthrower...Question

   / BX24 - Sell Plow, Replace With Snowthrower...Question #11
I plowed commercially with a truck and faced that problem from time to time.

My solution was to sub to a blower guy or to some one with a case backhoe to push back those piles.

AS I would get them between storms they were always reasonable. (usually $50-75 to widen 5-6 drives so that I could finish the season.
At those rates there was no way I could justify a tractor and blower.
My CUT was much to slow to get around to service the problem drives.

I'd get the blower and keep the blade. There have been several times I wish I had the front blade. Really wet snows or clearing busted up chunks of ice come to mind. A cab is nice indeed, but if you are mindful of the wind when choosing your chute direction, it isn't all that bad. I do catch a faceful of snow from time to time which serves to keep me awake and alert.

I would keep both. There are times where I wish I had the blade as well....

Keep both. When you only get an inch or two the plow is best. But a foot and the blower is king.

1*A blower is only good for snow removal .
You can't plow dirt it or push gravel with it like you can do with a A front blade.
A blower is a single funtion unit just like a ZTR.

2*I have both the 2750D blower and the 2763A plow.
It's a really fast changeover with the quick hitch. Most times I use the blower but a couple of snows ago (they are all starting to blur together this Winter!) it snowed about 5 inches and then changed over to rain. The blower couldn't handle the heavy wet slop so I changed over to the blade. Just my 2 cents for all it's worth. :)

2*I don't remove this 2763A plow so it's ready the year around.
