Still on the hunt for a SCUT or CUT. Went to the dealership to play, i mean, inspect the BX24. The backhoe seems a little jerky to me. I guess with the size of the pump you can't multifunction. I tryed to bring the bucket down and to the side. It will only perform on function at a time. Is this just the way it is, or do you get better after use. Also, I noticed you really had to goose the throttle to get the hydraulics to even work. What RPM is the hydrulics smooth at.

Until my tractor is warmed up I notice a slight delay in movement with the BH or FEL. Once it's warm you need the proper RPM if you want fast response or multiple cylinders working. If you crank up the RPM enough you could kick a soccer ball a good ways as fast as the boom will move :D

I usually run the BH around 2200 -2500 depending on what I'm doing. You can get away with less when using the FEL, but to low on the BH just slows you down.

I almost always run my BX at WOT or just below when using the backhoe. It's true that you can't really multifunction real well, and I believe that is just because of the size of the pump and GPM flow. It gets slow when I try and do more than one function at a time like extending the boom and moving to the left or right.

What I noticed in my one day of BX24 ownership is that if I move the boom up and down while trying to make any other movements, the boom seems to trump everything. But, when I was really easy on the boom, I was able to get the feel for curling, moving the dipper, and the boom all at the same time.
