This spring clip connected to the U-bolt can serve as a chain grab hook or as a slip hook for webbing.

In order to be able to flip the spring clips on the FEL sides, the hole would have needed to be much closer to the edge of the metal plate. I decided to place the hole at the max possible distance from the edge for greater strength. This means the spring clip must be inserted at the large end, and the small end must point down. If a slip hook were needed at this location, I can just add another spring clip or an actual slip hook to the one shown.

If you want a toothbar that also strengthens your cutting edge you could look at the EZ attachments range. They have a V-shaped edge that fits over your existing edge, with teeth attached. They are pricier, but the EZ-Landscaper has some good reports on TBN.

The first pic on this page shows the EZ-Landscaper and the American Solutions grapple installed together. (There are also links to a number of toothbar manufacturers on that page.)

Just wanted to say, big Kudo's to your Wiki. I know how much work they are to get going and how valuable they can be.

Thanks for all the pics Tom. Gave me some ideas.
