with your backhoe on and your fel off, be aware that the bx is a wheelie machine.

**** straight!

Even with the FEL on the BH likes to lift the front wheels a bit. With the FEL off, it's ridiculous.

If you're going to tow the tractor regularly, get the right trailer. Sometimes you just gotta buck up and pay the piper.

If the wife complains, tell her you will give the inlaws preference on your tractor's availability.

Forgive me if this has been said already, as i have not read all replies.
I think ypu can drop the BH and the FEL on your trailer, drive your tractor up onto the bed of your 2500 pickup with ramps and then hook up to your trailer and go. The bed of your truck might be a bit loaded, but your trailer should be fine. I have hauled trailers with my tailgate lowered with the aid of a hitch extender, keep in mind it lowers your trailer tongue load.

Another idea... I once bought a BIG tractor 150 miles from my home... The thing was BIG.... Tires over my head... I was not putting this thing on my trailer.... So I gas it up and tied an extra gas of gas to the hitch and put a slow sign on the back of the seat and off I went... It took me a little over half a day to get my new tractor home.... What a ride..

I like that idea, tow your truck with your tractor
Leave your tractor @ your destination and drive your truck back.

My BX23 with the FEL and BH is 15 feet long and weighs 2467 pounds.
I would not want a trailer less than 7x16 to haul it on.

2 axles and brakes on all 4 wheels is a must.

Don't worry about the trailer. Get the tractor then hit the wife with the trailer next year.

LOL, that has been my plan... but right now my dealer comes and picks up the tractor and delivers it back at no charge!

A ex-operator friend tells me I am wasting my money for what I need, and I should just rent.

Oh man, I heard that a lot when I bought my BX. Worst advice EVER.

Just plan to use it if you buy it. Do 500 hours in 3 years and that baby is saving you LOTS over rental.

Plus, you can fire it up for 15 minutes of work WHENEVER you want. Totally different mindset than renting.
