I am finally getting around to hooking up my new 3 point hitch and the Landpride RTR0550 that came with the used tractor I bought. Pictures I have seen show the lower arms hooked up to the outside two clevis positions on the tiller, but when I did this....nothing wanted to line up.

The manual shows the inside two clevis positions for nearly all classes of hitch, so I went with that and everything lines up and works fine. I adjusted everything by the "books" and all seems well.

Question....does anyone see a reason why you would use the outside positions on the RTR0550 over the inside ones?

On my bx24 and landpride tiller I used the outside mounting and everything lined up well. Not sure if it would have made a difference either way.

I'd use the ones that lined up easiest and would have no cencern if it was outside or inside.

+1, I honestly couldn't tell you which one I run my BX2660 and RTR0550, but it won't make any difference on these things.

I think you will really like it, I run mine at full PTO speed and go pretty slow making multiple passes.

Now I may not be doing it right, but it looks good.

My B2320 has 2 PTO speeds. 640 and 9?0. Which one or are you saying the fastest 9?0 speed when you say full pto speed?

Mine is a 540, so that is what I run mine at. I have run it slower, but 540 seems to be about right. I am sure people vary theirs and there is nothing magical about the 540.

You want to use the 540 for all rear implements. The 940 setting is for your did mount PTO. Some models come with it standard, some you have to install as a kit. No matter what set-up you have, you never want to use the 940 speed for a rear implement. On your B2320, I do not believe that the 940 PTO (I am not 100% that it is 940, but that is close) will turn your rear pto shaft, but I could be wrong. It has been a while since I have been on one.

I believe it is 920 for the mid pto and 540 for the rear pto unless you get in to full size tractors and can select.
