Backhoe BX24 Backhoe removal question

I don't know if this will make much difference, but on my BX-25, before pulling the pins, I push the boom down a touch. This pushes the top part of the backhoe tightly agianst the tractor. The pins merely slide out without any resistance.

yeah- the 25's series is aligned perfectly. 24's is a little off.

Hmmm, maybe my guy at the Kubota assembly plant in GA didn't get the memo  My right side pin (standing at the back of the tractor) needs a little help from the stabilizer to make it come out. Not a big deal but I haven't found one spot where both come out at the same time.

And I agree on it taking longer to install the 3PH than to remove the BH. Kind of cool how something so heavy can be manipulated through the miracle of hydraulics and gravity.

Ahh, youth, I knew ye well once! When I was 18, I dug a 46' long, 42" deep foundation by hand. Now I need a BH to dig a hole for a shrub.

Amen brother....preach it.

I went to help build a playground area at church last weekend and kept offering to bring down the BX...."no, we won't need that". I will NOT listen to those young guys again. They let the old guy do the heavy lifting (pulling old concrete base steel fence posts, unload the Concrete blocks from the truck and carry them 40-50 feet one at a time) then laugh the next day when I am so sore I can hardly drink coffee. Not again. Next time if they want to move a soccer ball, I am showing up with the tractor.

Age and wisdom are not bad things. Just saying.
