They are, its not shipping yet. Its taking some time because the vender of the plastics has to build new molds for the thicker plastics. I was told the new parts would be on the production line before the end of the month and shipping to dealers shortly after.

Would dealers then remove the older design and install these NEW fenders on all of the BX24 tractors still on their lot?

Your best guess.

When I approach my dealer in May/2008, what could I ask him [or look for on the BX24] to determine if the NEW fenders were installed?

Many Thanks!
The Gardener

P.S. I am really leaning toward the BX24 as our choice. It looks to be perfect for our five year plans around the property. After that, I may look to trade it in for something larger.

Anyone have their crystal ball lit up with regards to the potential re-sale value of a well maintained, good looking BX24 in 2013? ;-)

Hello Gumbo,
Looks as if you found a good price for a solid machine. Good luck with her. I have been deceiding for awhile and I am pulling the trigger this month and taking advantage of the 36 month 0% financing. I am still on the fence about additional imiplements, but I am leaning toward a rake rather than a box scrapper since I have a lot o stuff to get into piles, incudling rocks. The skid plte that bird2 (?) sells here also seems a necessity and who knows what other additional things that are out there to get, but that is enough of a start.

Did you get any implements with your Bx24 besides the MMM?

Hotwheels,
No, I didn't get anything else because the wife drew the line in the sand after the purchase of the Bx24. Of course, I back dragged over that with the front bucket. I would really like to get a box blade and tiller , but might have to wait until spring. Did I mention that there is a Tractor Supply, 2 miles from my house? WHEW!!!

Hey gumbo.
Sounds as if you have enough with the BX24 and MMM to keep you busy! My spouse is supportive of the tractor buy, so I am lucky there. She is the one insisting on anything we buy having a backhoe so we can dig up and move some rocks --- the Bird1968 thumb and skidplate are on the horizon for me.

I would be interested to hear how things progress as you break in the 24. Check out some of the posts by homebrew2 for the potential of the bx series.

Good luck!

Heck by then it will be a BX26.
