Interesting that Kubota went with a non-standard QA design for the BX line, having gone just in the other direction with their larger tractors. Is there something about the size/weight/hydraulic capacity of these subcompacts that makes them unsuitable for standard SS compatible attachments?

I always thought a conventional 4-in-1 would be heavy for a BX, even if it was narrowed down. The Landpride (and others now), I guess, are skinnyed down some for a subcompact.

Grandad -- will be interesting when we hear back from Jj1479. So far as I can tell up to now Kubota did NOT go with a non-std QA design for the BX series. Apparently they actually sold Jj1479 the tractor with a skid-steer compatible interface on the loader. So far as I can tell from the posts to date he bought a Landpride 4-in-1 bucket that was NOT skid-steer compatible and then got rid of his skid-steer interface on the FEL and did some degree of mod work toget the Landpride bucket to fit. Guesswork but I have to assume that Landpride made their small 4-in-1 to fit the majority of BX machines out there -- the ones with proprietary pin locations -- rather than making them to fit the skid-steer plates.
I agree with you that a conventional 4-in-1 would be too heavy for the little BX but I also assume that smaller 4-in-1's are made for the mini skid-steers & would be about right for the BX.

Thanks for clarifying!
