Got so enthused over your deal that I ordered a BX1880 54" deck with mulching kit today for delivery next Monday.

Haha....congrats back to you, I'm sure you'll love it!

Dalola, Sharp toy! Very nice indeed.

Still waiting for the grapple for mine to arrive. Can't wait.

JT - what is this like 23 now? Congrats to you too!

Thanks! I've been eyeing those grapples myself....please post back when you get it & put some hours on it. What kind did you get?

Not sure how many but 23 sounds about right.:) I've will now have owned all of the BX series, even the BX1500 which is the best mower of the BXs. I started with a BX2200 14 years ago as my first ever tractor.
I had bought a used 4 wheel steer Cub Cadet from Barlows when I bought the L3901 so my wife could help me mow but it didn't work out and Barlow is taking it back in trade toward the BX1880. It will be a (almost) purely mowing machine for Grandson and wife to help me mow if they want to :D and will handle my hillside yard with the 4wd and it's diesel and with a 3ph for some tiller and drawbar use. Probably even use it to mow my mountain trail since it will be a bit more nimble than the F3080 72" deck. Has 54" deck which doesn't come in rear discharge and I hate side discharge decks so getting the mulching kit to block that side discharge. Hope they've gotten rid of that stack of bad front BX tires/tire rims that always leak which they always put one on each BX. The BX1880 has a tad smaller tire than the 23 and 26hp so the 18 tires/rims may not have the leaking ones, hope they don't. I finally started taking them back to Barlows and told them I had a warranty claim and they would tube them for me hopefully at Kubota Corp cost instead of him paying for it. Tube always fixed the one slow front BX leaker tire...............PS Edit a few hours later. Still won't be owning a BX18??, called and changed to the BX2370-1 60" deck with mulching kit...........PPS More hours later went to Barlows and changed it to a BX2380 60" deck with mulching kit and no hyd val and was less money plus the two implements incentive got me a free Landpride Quickhitch............The other salesman had sold the BX2380 and don't know when another one will arrive soooo back to the BX2370.

It's the landpride again like the one I have, but it's the next one up so it has SSQA and maybe like 2" wider or something. I love the one I have, so I'm sure I'll love the new one too.

Will post a comparison thread after I spend some time on it. Talked to dealer on way home last night and he said it should be coming in soon.

Well, here she is! Brought her home today, and put it to work. Really loving it so far!

dalola,

How has the last 3 months been with your 2380? I am looking at the exact same rig. 2380, FEL and tow hitch receiver attachment for 3 point.

Was the attachment included in the price from the dealer or did you get it aftermarket somewhere else.

Would the 1880 been enough or do you wish you had the 2680? Are the industrial bar tires OK on turf?

Hi Tom, tractor has been great so far, some health issues have kept me out of the seat for a time, so only have 20 hours so far. My wife thinks it's "cute", but it will pack a punch! Been very impressed with it's capabilities. I've moved dirt, mulch, and large rocks with the FEl so far, no issues. Put a Woods RM48 RFM on the back, so my boys can help mow our 3 acre yard, and I trailer it to our rec property in SE Ohio to keep lanes, etc, mowed down, works great for that. Pulls easily with my F150 & 18' tandem. Runs forever on a tank of fuel. Used to my ZTR 26HP Kaw that absolutely DRINKS gas! R4's have been fine on the turf, but we go easy, don't use 4x4 when finish mowing. Got the rec hitch from Titan, solid value for what it is. Use it to move trailers, pull log splitter, etc.. The 1880 probably would have worked, but I liked the extra weight with the 2380, along with nicer features, and being the volume model, the best *value* deal. Have not wanted for that extra 2HP of the 2680. Traction (weight) generally becomes a problem long before HP with these SCUT's.

Really haven't heard of anyone that has any disappointment after buying one of these. The new 80 series is a really refined machine in so many ways, and a pleasure to operate. I give it 2 thumbs up, pick the model that works for you, and enjoy!
