Buying Advice BX2360 vs B series mowing tractors

The new hitch will lift higher, but not open wider. There are still some very large Cat. 1 implements on which the distance between the pins is simply too wide for them to fit in the BX 3ph. This has been remedied in two primary ways: 1.) Reverse the pins so that they face inward rather than outward. 2.) Use Pat's easy on extenders, or a comparable device.

This is not really an issue in most cases, however, as the Cat. 1 implements that are too big to fit in the BX 3ph also tend simply to be too big to be used on a BX anyway.

Those are just what I spoke about the aftermarket CAT 1-2 hitches!!!!!

Many of the after market manufactuers looking to get a bigger bang for the buck will have cat 2width on the hitch with cat 1 pins that can go several tractor sizes with just a set of bushings to get it to cat 2 with only one machine better fitting inventory costs for dealers. We jhave been reversing the hitch pins for years on many different hitch sizes to ease hook-ups!

The time has come to replace my G6200 mower. I bought it new in 1988. The tractor now has 2600 hrs. and is still working great. I mow about 6 acres weekly with the G6200. My other mowing and tractor needs are met with a L3130 w/fel.

I'm ready to trade in the G6200 and buy a BX2360 with a 60" mower deck.
Would I be better off buying a B series Kubota with a 60" deck? Is the frame and mower deck better on the B series?

Save your money and buy a Caroni FRTM1900FC flail with 112 knives/75 inches and a hydraulic side shift kit and use the L3130 tractor you have to do all your mowing.

You can buy a side shift kit and flail and spend a lot less money than buying a new BX2360 with the MMM mower and have a forever mower with no scraping mower decks either.

The flail mower will mow brush and grass as well with the 112 knives quickly too as all of the 112 kinves are cutting at all times for the full width of the flail mower where the MMM has only so much cutting edge to cut grass at any time versus the total length of cutting edge on the 112 knives versus the six cutting edges on the three mower blades.

You may get more money for the G6200 by selling it outright also.

B w / 60". Done deal. No questions to ponder or regret.

If you don't mind full ground contact. That MMM does not float. For some, that doesn't matter. For others, it does.
