The hardest thing about dismounting fel is getting off tractor to lower the stand and gt back on.

If you're saying that I'm fat and have bad knees... well, OK.

Another option would be a rear blade. If your worried about forzen icy stuff, that would at least break it up for the snow blower. Rear blades are pretty cheap also.

Actually, I was wondering about a possible middle ground, since the ballast box will be on all the time. What about bolting a little blade, say 30" wide, onto the lower back of the BB? This could be used as a back scraper just to loosen up frozen piles for the blower.

Another swamp-yankee nutty idea?

Forget the ballast box and just get a box scraper for the back. You could use a rear blade but the box has more uses and will be just fine for breaking up anything the blower cant handle. The blower takes about 10 minutes to hook up for a beginner and the loader about 3 minutes (i have the 2360 with loader, blower and box scraper...i also have a ballast box which is never used as the box scraper is better)
