BX2350 temp gauge

Have an 06 BX2350 and noticed the other day when I went to start it the temp gauge was already in the middle of the range before starting the unit. Ran it for about 2 hours or so and no movement, shut it down and looked the next day and still in the middle of the range. Any ideas?

If the gauge is in the middle of the range with all power off, I would suspect a jammed or broken gauge.
You can test the gauge by shorting the sensor lead to ground = max temp and remove the sensor lead = low temp.
I would do that at the gauge to rule out any chance of a shorted lead.
