BX2350 Leaking Hydraulic

I found a puddle of fluid under the tractor this morning, under the console area. Looking up from underneath through the access hole forward of the fuel pump, the shaft was wet with fluid. Removed the battery from its housing and the bottom of the housing was wet also a spot on the radiator screen. Seems to be coming from the front control valve ? the bucket is up slightly and stayed that way over night( I keep it in a tent garage and like to move it out quickly when I start it up cause of the fumes) I also checked the Hst level and it was down just a wee bit. Any ideas what would cause this ? and how many arms and legs its gonna cost to fix it ? Thanks

Your steering lines run through that area.

If that winds up being the problem, replace all of them while you are at it. If one leaks, the others aren't far behind.

The steering lines were replaced on my BX2350 with less than 10 hours on it. "Bad crimps" on the factory hoses....a known problem according to the dealer. Dealer did the work under warantee. It made a real mess and the dealer didn't clean any of it up. My radiator was "oily" too and collected dirt. Had to pull and wipe off the battery too. Washed things up with simple green and "parts brush".

I'm betting that's your problem.

Well today the local dealer sent the mechanic he cleaned of the controller valve unit under the battery cage , blew all the gunk off and tightened one of the "caps" on one of the hydraulic lines. That seems to have worked , he said he had this problem once before. I guess I'll go buy a bigger wrench for next time ! Thanks for the help, I read this forum often and always learn something.
