The link worked last night but the "powers that be" must have removed the attachment and removed my ability to edit any of my responses? Just a picture of a patched lawn but it got someone's panties in a knot.

Front weight set looks great. My limited experience the BX2350 and FEL work is that I could really use some more rear weight. Guess I need more implements. :)
:D May I suggest a Back Hoe !;)
;) FELs and BHs are perfect companions. :D

Thanks Killer --

Never intended to hijack this thread -- After I posted -- I thought...I should have started a new thread in a different forum regarding that weight bracket.

My apologies to "rpoage"

CONGRADS on your purchase you will not be disappointed.:)

A back hoe, now why didn't I think of that  Glad you are not in charge of my check book. My Scotch/Irish heritage made me whimper like a little baby when I wrote the check for the tractor. A back hoe on top of that would have caused a major break down.

jcpwrsprt no problem hijacking the thread but you really should post the pictures in a place where people can see your great engineering and construction. If not for your disclosure I would have thought that set up was factory.

I really need to take a closer look at getting more weight on the back of the BX as a FEL bucket full of top soil with the tractor on soft ground can cause a whole lot of excitement very quickly.

When I bought my tractor A bx2230 with FEL & 60" MMM was $11700.
The BX23 with FEL 60'' MMM and BH was $15500.
I thought getting the BH for $3800 more than the BX2230 was a steal compared to spending 5 or 6 thousand later to add a BH to the BX2230 or upgrading to a BX23.
I did think it was at first but I wondered about the missing BX letters and the color change from silver to orange.
How much weight do you have back there if any?

No weights yet, I thought I could get by with WWA in the tires but it's not enough. Most of the problem is mine as clean top soil is easy to grab a hold of and it is too easy to fill the bucket up to the brim or above. I'm not too concerned about picking the rear tires off the ground it's when it starts to rotate on one of the front tires on the soft ground and starts to roll over I get a little uneasy. I have yet to flip a tractor but at my age I willing to forgo that experience. I guess I will look at the Kubota weight box as I don't have time to weld anything up before the end of my grass planting season.

1*Durn rite it's not enough.
A full bucket will rock the tractor and I can hear the rear tires wanting to slip on the slag as I'm backing away from the dirt pile and that's with a 600 pound Back Hoe back there.-------------------........................
2*using the FEL with insufficient weight on the back like you're doing is a good way to gain that experience. ................-----------------

You can either get some ballast for the rear or just slip on a "Depends" every time you fill up that loader.
You can call it "excitement" if you like......... Ha!

Kubota ballast box is about $175.00 which on it own is ok but a look at it's design tells me it is not a multi tasking piece of equipment. For a couple hundred more I could get a BB or box scrapper which would meet my multi-tasking requirement.

As a lurker on this forum for a number of years I finally made the jump to a Kubota BX2350. A lot of you have taken the time to share your experiences and I'm sure I have profited from your wisdom and mistakes.
I have been working a 2+ acre lot with a small Toro riding mower but future landscaping plans and my loss of interest in 6 hour lawn mowing every weekend have brought me to this point. After losing bids on several used Kubota's on EBAY I gave in and purchased new. Local dealer is 4 miles from my house and has out fitted most of the neighborhood in Kubota orange and everyone is more that pleased with their service.
First job this weekend was filling in sunken trenches from a geothermal system. In 2 hours I had moved 9 cubic yards of top soil from the front of the house to the back yard and filled in and smoothed out most of the trenches. Back dragging with the FEL will make hand work next to nothing. Mowed yard in 1/4 the time including navigating around the to be seeded trenches.
Looking at front plows for the winter as snow removal is in store for this tractor in a couple months. Next year I intending to put in a real yard and I will really be putting this tractor to the test then.
Only issues so far are EXTREMELY abrupt stop when backing up in high range with the tractor tacked up (mowing). I'm learning to compensate but Kubota missed it on this, dealer tells me Kubota is aware of this issues and will be working on it? I did see that other people have also reported this problem. Second pet peeve is with the guy who cleaned up my tractor before delivery. NO Armor All on the floor mat! Taught me to wear the seat belt just to stay on the darn thing.
Again thanks to all who contributed to my decision, I really appreciate the time many of you took to express your opinions.
Hey BX2350 Brother, ironically, I have the same setup. First two things I used mine for was to put in geothermal subsidence, and filling in next to my concrete flat work. Like you, I gave in a bought a new 07. Happy so far, felt like a kid at Christmas. I'm looking at a 42" tiller, an aerator (core variant), and maybe a back blade. Much fun.

later, Vector

* I'd go with a 48'' tiller to cover both tire tracks.
I just orderd a 48 incher for a bx1500.
