Mowing Bx2350 front drive shaft

Hello. I may have a dumb question. Lol. But in 2wd or 4wd should the front drive shaft spin when moving ? I'm new to tractors and bought a used 2350 And just noticed it.

No such thing as a dumb question here... or at least, many of us ask them.
Yup, it should... The driveshaft is always connected to the front differential.
The dis-connect is done at the transmission at the rear of the tractor... so in 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive, that shaft is always gonna be turning.
