Anyone had the threaded rod bend going into the top link on the 3PH? The threads are barely exposed on either end, but it's bent and jammed in the assembly. Happend using a landsape rake, nothing excessive. Is this a common occurrance on this style of link?...The one on my 8N never had an issue.

Is there a better design out there as this one is ruined, appears that the threads are crossed in there now.:(

milkman- that link you posted, just wanna let you know that if any of the BX owners needs to have extra lifting distance, that toplink is not gonna cut it. when retracted, its goes to 15/1/2 inch, not 12-13 that BX does. However, I would be interested in knowing if anyone bought that link to refurb thier oringinal link by taking the threaded part out and insert in the BX turnbuckle body to keep the same geometry.

Not sure why that happened!!?? I have used my landscape rake, and boxblade extensively and by no means gently and have not had any issues with mine.

Yaeh, I thought this was strange too. Almost appears to be a defect. The Kubota replacement is pretty expensive to end up with the same result...Looks like mine may have had an issue from the get-go.

How are the retracted measurements taken..Eye to eye or overall?

BTW...Has anyone noticed this site becomming very slow to access? It's the only website that I access that takes 3-5 minutes to load a page 80% of the time lately. Maybe LB's 10,000,000,000,000 spinning smiley faces?

Some aftermarket links seem to be a bit soft compared to the original Kubota top links. I have bent a few of them as well.

The one in the link above is not a genuine Kubota part and other similar ones can be found on eBay for about that price. TSC also sells them in a variety of lengths.

When I revamped my rear blade (changed some pivot points for better height) I did not notice that at full height, at certain top link lengths, the top link was being pinched at the cross bar just below where the link attached to the blade. Check there for a pinch point for the cause of the bend. Luckily for me mine just bent a little bit at the socket and I was able to straighten it in a vise and dress the threads with a file to salvage the link.

X1...I too, have binding at full up on some implements. Looks like a geometry thing. You might want to check this, or it may happen again...

Works well for me, but I have the Pats Easy Change which makes my lift arms about 4" longer. Maybe that's why I didn't realize they were longer at the shortest setting.
