Kubota BX-2230
I used my tractor for a couple of hours this morning and stopped for lunch. Now the starter won't turn over. The battery appears to be OK. Something similar happened once before, but that time I already had it on the trailer to take it to the dealer for service when it balked. The tech told me that a connector, I think under the seat, was corroded or was not contacting properly. Unfortunately I did not get him to show me which one, but it sounds like a connector to one of the switches that prevents the engine from starting under certain circumstances.

Do anyone have a clue which connector might be involved and where it is located. Any troubleshooting tips would be appreciated.

My neighbor has a kubota. Several times he has had me come over cause he couldn't get it started. Each time I played with gears, sit on seat, setting brake, putting in clutch, etc. I always got it to start. Never sure what I did. Too many safety switches on those things.

Its a common issue on hydrostatic tractors. Here is what I would do to get it started in that order.

1. rock the HST pedal, make sure it in neutral, try to start
2. engage and disengage the PTO, try to start
3. make sure seat switches is ok- sometimes leaning too far forward will not let it start

good luck.
