3-Point Hitch BX2230 - Lower 3-Point, but leave the mmm raised?

I just received my ballast box and hooked it to the 3-point and as I approached my sand pile to fill the box, I lowered it with the pto selector in 'rear' thinking this would let me lower the 3-point hitch while leaving the mmm raised. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Much to my surprise, after a few secs the mmm is riding on its scalp wheels. How can you lower the 3-point while leaving the mmm up? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yes. Raise the 3ph, set the mower height dial to "top". Then you can operate the 3ph without affecting the mower deck. At least, that's how it works on my bx1500. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The pto selector does not affect operation of the 3ph. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
