BX2230 Difficult shifting from the rear PTO back to the mid PTO

Folks,
I hooked up my brush hog to my newly acquired BX2230 yesterday and when I was done, I wanted to use my 54" MMM to finish mowing but had a bit of trouble shifting from the rear PTO to mid PTO.

After struggling a bit it finally went into gear. Lack of use, lack of lubrication or a potential problem?

This is a normal thing. They have straight cut gears that drive the pto,s. If you can't get it into gears at times or shift from the different positions [with the tractor shut off] just turn either the rear pto shaft or the mid pto shaft by hand just a bit to get the gears to line up wiith themselves and it will shift easier.

Or use the Lazy-Man's way and re-engage the rear PTO for a sec or two with the hope it stops in a better aligned position. LOL
