Well it finally stopped raining enough and we have the finished leveling done. The frame is build and levelled side to side with a 1.5 inch slope to the front door for hosing out drainage.
As you can see the "Bozilla" always seem to squeeze its way into the pictures.
Notice there was no brewski in the drink holder so I pretty confident everything is level. Especially seeings how I used a laser level on it.

I haven't given up on the tractor shed. In the last two weeks we've gotten 6.5 inches of rain and it's rain as I type.
As soon as it's dry enough for the concrete truck to get back there we're going for it.
The pad will be 16 feet wide by 24 feet long.
I am building an all steel building arch shaped 11 feet high in the centre.

I was going to make it 21 feet but I am going with commercial shelving at the rear that I can stack up with the summer stuff in the winter to free up the floor for winter storage of my trailer and the chevy 2 ton.

BX2200 Shed Up date

Well the weather hasn't been cooperating. In addition to torrential rains, (more rain in July than all lastyear ). The heat has been a killer.
Yesterday it was 98 F with 73% humidity, which made it the equivalent to 116 F. I was only able to work until noon and then had to give up. The over night low was 82 and even at that high temperature the humidity level is so high there was a heavy fog and dew just like a chilly fall day. Probably felt like a typical hot day in Florida, but I am a Canadian. We’re use to cold not heat.
Anyways, I am glad I bought the trailer to haul the BX it is coming in handy in more ways than I expected. Just like a FEL once you have it you find all sorts of practical uses.
Here I used it to haul in the forming lumber and concrete reinforcing steel. I also used it as a nice flat work table.

I hope to pour the concrete this Thursday.
The shop floor is 16 X 24. It has a 2 " Back to front slope to facilitate easy hosing out.
The approach apron is 24 X 10 with a 6-inch slope. It has to narrow down to 12 feet at the beginning because of some trees I want to leave.

The cost to date breaks down as follows.
Wood for form material $36.00
Steel for concrete $197.84
Steel building delivery $2,969.00

I still need an overhead 9X8 door.

Re: BX2200 Shed Up date

Al, the forms are pretty staight forward, but I know what you mean, been there done that too.

I've used 2X6s staked every three feet with three foot 1X3.
DSCN1713.jpg

The rebar is 10 mm and is 18" on centre.
It will be blocked up to keep it in the upper 1/3 of the pour which will be 5 " in the main area and 12 inches around the perimeter,
